Welcome to Lean Decisions

Decisions rule our lives. They can change our lives and our businesses forever.

Yet how often do we study how to make better decisions?

Decision-making is both an art and a science. Yet the art is esoteric and the science is obscure. Lean Decisions aims to change that.

Nine years ago I started a data visualization software company to help people better understand their data. I’ve since learned that better decisions don’t necessarily need better data. Too often the wrong question gets asked.

Two years ago I set out on a quest to find a better way.

Lean Decisions is the result of that quest. Lean Decisions is an ongoing project to eliminate the waste in decision-making. To develop and teach patterns, best practices and practical tips for making better decisions. Through your feedback and my ongoing research, we can improve how we make decisions.

Do you ever:

  • Spend too much or too little time making a decision?
  • Get overwhelmed with too many options?
  • Gather more information than you need?
  • Wonder whether to double-down or quit?
  • Wish you had clearer success criteria for your decisions?
  • Get tired from making too many decisions?

If so, I’d love for you to become a regular reader.

I’ll be sharing techniques, patterns and insights that can help you optimize your decisions. You’ll learn how to recognize different types of decisions, pitfalls to watch out for and processes you can use to get better outcomes.

  1. Congratulations on the launch! This website is very relevant and brief resource of how to make decisions in a balanced way- without taking too much time (analysis paralysis) and at the same time as i imagine it, not necessarily making a hasty one. Looking forward to reading more of the posts 🙂
